Regulating Runoff
E&A’s Environmental Scientists assist contractors, developers, and agencies by identifying environmental concerns and recommending effective corrective actions for land development projects. For sites disturbing more than one acre, stormwater runoff must be managed through a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and Construction Stormwater Discharge permits must be obtained. To meet NPDES Permit requirements, site inspections are conducted weekly, biweekly, or monthly—and additionally after any rainfall event exceeding 0.25 inches—depending on the stage of construction and site stabilization. Ensuring compliance is essential, as violations can result in fines at the local, state, and federal levels.
