Kickstart Your Career

As an intern at E&A, you’ll develop both practical work skills and essential soft skills to support your professional growth. Gain hands-on exposure to daily departmental operations, participate in programs designed to broaden your industry knowledge, and network with company members and industry professionals.

Internships may be available in the following areas:

Support our Civil Engineering and SID Maintenance teams through hands-on infrastructure design. As an intern, you will learn the basics of engineering design while working with AutoCAD Civil 3D. This opportunity is great for a third and fourth year civil engineering college students.

Gain exposure to the day-to-day workings of the Transportation Engineering Department. As an intern, you will learn the basics of transportation design while working with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation. This opportunity is great for a third and fourth-year civil engineering college students.

Gain exposure to the day-to-day workings of the Water Resources Civil Engineering team. As an intern, you will learn the basics of water resources design while working with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hec-Ras, and other water modeling software. This opportunity is great for a third and fourth-year civil engineering or related environmental engineering college students.

Focus on environmental compliance in this field-based internship. As an intern, you will have hands-on project work with Erosion & Sediment Control inspections and gain exposure to our other environmental services. This opportunity is for junior and senior college students.

Through this hands-on field internship, you will serve as a member of a land survey crew and learn how to maintain and operate all the instruments and equipment needed to complete land surveying projects that support our civil engineering and design efforts. This is a freshman-friendly civil engineering or construction management college internship.

In this field internship you will assist with onsite observations of civil infrastructure projects and aid in completing reports on activities. This opportunity is great for a second-year civil engineering or construction management college student.

With this internship experience you will observe the maintenance, installation, and repairs of public infrastructure improvements within existing communities. This opportunity is great for a second-year civil engineering or construction management college student.

As an intern, you will gain exposure to residential and commercial development project planning by assisting clients with defining a vision and the components needed to make that vision a reality through use of a variety of design software such as Civil 3D, Rhino, and Twin Motion. This opportunity is for a college student pursuing an urban and community planning degree.
