Stay Ahead of the Storm

The United States Environmental Protection Agency mandates municipalities to create programs that reduce water pollutants from new development.

In Nebraska’s Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership*, projects that reduce the permeable area by more than 5,000 square feet require a Post Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSMP). E&A’s civil engineers design and certify numerous PCSMPs each year, with support from our environmental scientists. Beginning one year after certification, our environmental scientists conduct annual inspections and provide a detailed inspection report, including a photo log and any recommended maintenance actions.

*Members of the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership include the cities of Omaha, Bellevue, Boys Town, Gretna, La Vista, Papillion and Ralston; Sarpy County; and the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District
