The United States Environmental Protection Agency requires that municipalities develop and implement a program to reduce water pollutants that can be produced by new development.
As a result, those in Nebraska’s Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership* must have a Post Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSMP) when a project reduces the permeable area on site by more than 5,000 square feet. E&A’s civil engineers design and certify numerous PCSMPs each year, and our environmental scientists provide annual inspections starting one year after certification. They also prepare an inspection report/photo log that details suggested maintenance, if any.
*Members of the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership include the cities of Omaha, Bellevue, Boys Town, Gretna, La Vista, Papillion and Ralston; Sarpy County; and the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District
