168th Street, Rachel Snowden Pkwy to Military Road

Project Description

This asphalt project is located adjacent to Stratford Elementary (Bennington Public Schools). It brought safety to this stretch of road by widening it from two to three lanes, increasing intersection sight distance, adding sidewalks, extending a box culvert, and adding a guardrail.  There was a 20-foot grade change needed to bring this roadway to the ultimate profile. A water main needed to be relocated. There were 23,500 cubic yards of dirt hauled off, and an additional 20,000 CY moved on-site.
