Enterprise Precast Concrete

Omaha, NE

An SPCC plan was developed for Enterprise Precast Concrete, Inc. following an inspection by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). E&A’s environmental services team collaborated with Enterprise Precast Concrete, Inc. staff to design an SPCC that complied with Tier II regulations. Oil products used on-site included form oils, release agents, fuel, and equipment fluids, totaling approximately 1,650 gallons. Recommendations included additional spill kits, deployable barriers, and upgrades to on-site ASTs. E&A also integrated the SPCC procedures into an Industrial Stormwater Permit designed for the facility. These comprehensive plans, along with correlated inspection procedures, improve compliance and enhance monitoring efficiency for site conditions.

Description

To minimize construction and material costs for on-site control implementation, E&A developed effective strategies for using sorbent socks at building access points to provide interior containment of oil products where permanent curbing was not installed. Sorbent socks and impermeable barriers can be quickly deployed in the event of a containment breach and easily moved during site operations.
