Manchester Elementary and Whispering Ridge Park needed a re-design of their existing playground and open space. These improvements would benefit the City of Omaha, SID 493, SID 495, SID 496, SID 549, SID 555 and the general public. An Interlocal Agreement was used to complete these improvements.
Description
E&A’s teams worked together with the SID Boards, City of Omaha, Manchester Elementary School, SID attorneys, and SID fiscal agents along with the contractors to complete a re-design of the existing playground, which kept the existing shelter, play structure and swings. We also added a toddler play structure, Volito Swing, Comet Spinner, and (ADA accessible) rubber surfacing with a concrete base. The overall park re-design included a new trail circulating throughout the park and connecting to a new baseball field with other green open space improvements and a new parking lot.
