E&A provides annual Post-Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSMP) inspections for the CHI Health Academic Medical Center. The CHI Health facility is responsible for maintaining a collection of three stormwater treatment structures; including two extended dry detention basins and a StormTech system. A StormTech is a subsurface stormwater management system that allows for the treatment and storage of stormwater underground, which eliminates the need for designated space on the property for a basin or rain garden. StormTechs offer a unique opportunity to maximize the potential buildable space while properly managing post-construction stormwater runoff.
Description
E&A was hired by CHI Health to conduct annual inspections and prepare inspection reports for nine of their facilities to meet the requirements outlined by the City of Omaha. The CHI facility at 24th and Cuming Street in Omaha is an 80,000 square foot community health center that sits on approximately nine acres of land in downtown Omaha.
Note: As of July 1, 2008, the City of Omaha requires the installation of post-construction stormwater management features as part of new land development to comply with the requirements in their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit. Post-construction stormwater management applies to land development that results in an increase of impervious surface area greater than 5,000 square feet.
