The Merritt’s Beach swimming area, a popular gathering spot from the 1930s through the 1980s, had been abandoned for years when Boyer Young Development acquired it and initiated plans for redevelopment. They created a 125-unit RV park that leases spaces for a season running from April to October. All spaces were sold out for its first year of operation.
E&A provided survey, layout and approval services that allowed us to meet an extremely aggressive timeline. E&A basically started working on the project in the fall of 2017 and the RV successfully opened in late April of 2018. This schedule could not have been accomplished without the efforts of E&A.

Description
This project is located in a floodway, so development had to be accomplished with no net fill in the floodway and without on-site wastewater treatment systems. It required a Conditional Use Permit under Cass County zoning regulations that included provisions for off-road parking, mobile restroom and shower trailers, connection to the rural water system, a playground, security fencing, a manned operation office and full electrical, water and internet hookups.
