These new, three-story hotels are situated on 4.5 acres in a flood plain. We found that the land was previously developed and platted with little consideration for managing stormwater runoff.
Description
The originally platted lot configuration was revised to accommodate this new use. A bioswale was designed across the replatted hotel properties to manage storm water runoff and grading was designed to elevate both structures above the designated 100-year flood elevation.
