NP Dodge Building

Omaha, NE

E&A provides annual Post Construction Stormwater Management Plan (PCSMP) inspections for the NP Dodge Building at 148th and California in Omaha. NP Dodge is responsible for maintaining two Rain Guardian Turrets, three bio-retention basins and a dry detention basin for the treatment of post-construction stormwater. Bio-retention basins and dry detention basins treat stormwater above ground by retaining water on-site and allowing it to slowly drain into the soil. Rain Guardian Turrets allow for the effective treatment of stormwater when there is limited space for post-construction stormwater management features, or as an additional layer of treatment when combined with other Best Management Practices (BMPs).

Description

E&A was hired by NP Dodge to conduct annual inspections and prepare inspection reports to meet the requirements outlined by the City of Omaha. The NP Dodge Building is a 13,000 square-foot office building that sits on approximately 2.3 acres of land in central Omaha.

Note: As of July 1, 2008, the City of Omaha requires the installation of post-construction stormwater management features as part of new land development to comply with the requirements in their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit. Post-construction stormwater management applies to land development that results in an increase of impervious surface area greater than 5,000 square feet.
