How do you fit a building footprint the size of three football fields, large parking lots and athletic fields on a site with 90’ of fall across it and bisected by an existing gas main? E&A solved this challenge by creating multiple tiers for the various uses while also maintaining no grade change over the existing gas main.
E&A worked closely with our design team to deliver Papillion-La Vista Community Schools their first completely new middle school facility in more than 40 years. Throughout that process the E&A team added value not only to the project itself but also via coordination with the development of the neighborhood properties and public improvements.

Description
Liberty Middle School is a 126,000 square foot middle school located in the new, 65-acre Granite Falls subdivision, also designed by E&A. It features a visitor parking lot with a 900’ queue length for student pick-up/drop-off, a separate staff parking lot with bus access and truck loading dock, a football field and track, a sports utility/practice field, future baseball and softball fields and extensive sidewalks and paths on a 41-acre lot. A large detention basin was designed to preserve water quality for the school and subdivision.
