The goal was to create an attractive structure over the creek at the west entrance to Silverleaf Estates while minimizing tree loss adjacent to the new bridge. Architectural styling of the bridge needed to complement the aesthetic theme of the prestigious subdivision.
Description
A narrow construction corridor was used to preserve as many trees as feasible next to the 130’ long bridge. The water passage under the bridge is a 10 foot tall, single-cell box culvert. The space between the bank and the top bridge edge are cast-in-place concrete walls formed with an architectural form liner that was stained and sealed. The design incorporates landscape materials, colors, and architectural elements to complement the existing neighborhood.
