Industrial facilities in Nebraska may obtain authorization to discharge stormwater under the NPDES General Permit for Industrial Activities. The Brown Transfer Company (BC Freightways) facility operates under SIC Code 4213: Trucking, Except Local Establishments, with on-site activities that include light truck maintenance, freight storage, fueling, and truck and trailer storage. Leveraging insights gained from previous City of Omaha MS4 inspections, E&A redesigned the facility’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and consolidated the number of outfalls—streamlining the plan and significantly improving the efficiency and manageability of SWPPP compliance for Brown Transfer Company (BC Freightways) staff.
