The Turnbridge subdivision needed additional access to the east from Wenninghoff Road. E&A provided an attractive solution while overcoming the geometric constraints and coordinating with the Wenninghoff roundabout. The need for a pedestrian/bicycle crossing beneath the bridge added to the challenges.
Description
Craig Street Bridge has a 28-foot wide roadway, giving ample room for two lanes of traffic over the Little Papillion Creek. An attached 6-foot wide pedestrian walkway connects to the existing subdivision sidewalk leading into the Wenninghoff Road roundabout. The east wingwall supports space for a 10 foot wide bike trail that comes up from underneath the bridge and attaches to the roundabout.
