Project Description

Since 2011, E&A has partnered with the City of Omaha to conduct annual compliance inspections for hundreds of industrial facilities within the City’s MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) jurisdiction. The City’s MS4 Program requires that 20% of permitted industrial facilities be inspected each year, and E&A supports this effort by evaluating both permitted and unpermitted sites across a wide range of operations—including electrostatic painting, metal fabrication, freight transfer, meat packing, plastic molding, printing, auto recycling, concrete production, asphalt batching, and more.

As a private consulting firm, E&A offers an objective, third-party perspective that strengthens the City’s stormwater compliance efforts. Our inspectors work directly with facility personnel to educate them on applicable regulations, required stormwater controls, good housekeeping practices, and recordkeeping procedures under the NPDES permit—helping facilities maintain compliance while improving overall stormwater stewardship.
