Andresen Meadows Estates was a new E&A subdivision, positioned alongside 180th Street, but separated from it by a creek. A bridge was needed to cross this expanse.
Description
The solution was an 80’ single span, concrete girder bridge with a 28’ wide roadway containing two opposing lanes and sidewalks.
Heavy spring rains complicated the project; the temporary crossing was washed out and rebuilt to USACE standards multiple times during construction. Funding became an issue, so the project was delayed after the bridge was constructed and the permanent approaches to it were finished a few months later, in the spring of 2017.
