Description
During the construction of a new concrete batch plant, Concrete Supply Inc. recognized the need for a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan due to the planned installation of a 12,000-gallon diesel aboveground storage tank (AST) to fuel its concrete trucks. E&A developed a PE-certified SPCC Plan in full compliance with 40 CFR §112. The installed double-walled AST incorporates internal leak detection, protective concrete bollards, an alarm system, fuel checks, and drip buckets to prevent unauthorized use and spills. The maintenance bay was also outfitted with two oil-water separators to prevent any discharges from leaving the facility. The SPCC Plan was completed and certified in 2019.
