While constructing their new concrete batch plant, Concrete Supply Inc. determined that an SPCC (Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure) was necessary since they store a 12,000-gallon diesel AST (aboveground storage tank) to fuel their concrete trucks.
Description
E&A developed a Tier II SPCC in compliance with the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan Regulation 40 CFR 112 and had it certified by one of our professional engineers. The new 12,000-gallon diesel AST is double-walled to capture leaks internally and is now protected with concrete bollards to prevent trucks or equipment from accidentally colliding with it. The AST also has an alarm, a fuel check and drip buckets to further prevent unauthorized usage and spills. The maintenance bay was also built with two, oil-water separators to prevent spills and leaks from discharging outside from the facility. The SPCC was completed and implemented in 2019.
