Project Description
This Boyd County BRO bridge replacement project is located northwest of Spencer, NE, over Ponca Creek. The existing bridge had been closed since 2019 due to storm damage and was replaced with a new 160-foot three-span IT Girder Bridge. Other project improvements included rebuilding a driveway and field entrance, improving drainage with new ditches and drop pipes, installing a new guardrail, and improving erosion control.
