Project Description
E&A performed a wetland delineation for a property in the northwest Omaha Metro area in 2018, which was proposed to be developed into a residential subdivision, Copper Creek. During the delineation, nine wetland areas (totaling 2.9 acres) and five drainages were identified. In the course of project design and layout, it was determined that impacts to jurisdictional waters was unavoidable. E&A prepared a 404 permit application and designed a wetland mitigation plan for the proposed 0.24 acres of wetland impacts and 239 linear feet of channel impacts.
After project approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the mitigation site was constructed and surveyed by E&A for permit compliance. Ongoing monitoring by E&A environmental scientists for a period of five years after the construction is being done to ensure the site is establishing well and meeting regulatory standards.
