Project Description
As part of compliance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, a wetland delineation is required to determine whether proposed developments or projects will impact wetlands or other Waters of the United States. E&A performed wetland delineations at three bridge sites south of Lincoln, where each bridge was slated to be replaced with a box culvert. Bridge R210 was found to contain 0.021 acres of wetlands, and jurisdictional streams were present at all three sites. Nationwide Permits were secured for each bridge. Additionally, Bridge S179 required a Section 408 permit, as the proposed work would alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works project. Under Section 408, such alterations are permitted if the Corps determines they will not be injurious to the public interest or impair the project’s function.
