Project Description
E&A developed and permitted an Industrial Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for the 55-acre Wenninghoff Borrow Pit to comply with the State of Nebraska’s regulations under the NPDES General Permit for industrial stormwater discharges. As a Sector J – Mineral Mining and Dressing facility, the Wenninghoff Borrow Pit is responsible for implementing and maintaining stormwater controls and good housekeeping practices to prevent pollution from on-site activities. The SWPPP focuses on preventing sediment-laden runoff through the use of sediment traps, farm terraces, silt fence, stabilized construction entrances, and temporary stabilization measures.
