‘Tis The Season!

I am so very grateful to be a part of a work family that cares so much for others. Their generosity has touched many lives in the community!

Nickie Napierala
E&A Planning Services Specialist

E&A was involved in a couple different charities this holiday season. Our wonderful employees Nickie Naperiala, Mimi True, Maegan Woolf and Teresa Wooten each played a role in organizing the donations from our office.

The first event E&A participated in was held by Nebraska’s Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) group. CREW has a winter coat and diaper drive to benefit Lutheran Family Services each year. Lutheran Family Services is a great organization that impacts over 45,000 people across Nebraska and Iowa annually with their Behavioral Health, Children & Community Services programs.  Nickie and Maegan collected donations from the office and went out to shop for items. They came back with 13 winter coats and three large boxes of diapers.

E&A also donated to the Project Santa Toy Drive for Open Door Mission for the third year in a row. We ask our employees to bring in unwrapped toys and games, or give a monetary donation during the weeks before Christmas. Nickie and Mimi then took the donations from the office and had a great time filling up two shopping carts with toys and games to bring back for our contributions. Thanks to our generous employees, this year was the most we have ever donated to Open Door Mission.

Once the toys and games were collected, Nickie and Teresa drove them down to the Open Door Mission, where they were sorted and prepared to be handed out to Omaha famillies in need during their Project Santa’s Drive Thru Christmas event. This year, the event served more than 4,600 children!

An added bonus to our donations this year came in the form of dontations from Thrivent Financial, a Christian not-for-profit financial services company. Our employee Nickie Napierala is a member there, where she gets two monetary donations each year to give to charities of her choice. She used both donations to contribute to our efforts at E&A this year.

With the New Year ahead, all of us at E&A hope to do even more for our community. Happy 2018!
