Silverleaf Estates / West Dodge Station

Douglas County, NE

E&A is designing a trail to connect the Omaha Suburban Park Masterplan Trail through Silverleaf/West Dodge Station to the proposed section of Old Lincoln Highway trail between 192nd Street and 180th Street.

The West Dodge Station Trail will be 10 feet wide and almost a mile and a half in length with two pedestrian bridges that connect both sections of the city of Omaha Old Lincoln Highway trail system, and a trail in the adjacent neighborhood to the south. The trail will meet accessibility guidelines for a shared use path and will add a recreational aspect to the neighborhood currently not available. The trail along Old Lincoln Highway will be tucked back as far away from the road as possible to keep the historic feel, while the section that ties into the neighborhood to the south will allow access to an adjacent elementary school.
