Hanover Flats HUD 8-Step Process

The goal of this project was to conduct an 8-Step Process review to comply with The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements under Executive Order 11990, and in accordance with HUD regulations 24 CFR 55.20, “Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management and Protection of Wetlands.”

Description

As part of 24 CFR 50.20, The HUD is required to identify and evaluate practicable alternatives to locating projects in or near wetlands and floodplains. E&A completed an 8-Step Process review to comply with the HUD Decision Making Process, including public involvement, interagency cooperation, evaluation of practicable alternatives, assessment of impacts, and mitigation. No practicable alternative to the location or design of the project was found.
