Core Value Spotlight: May

Our Core Values in Action

May Winner: Chris Siebken, Civil Engineering Technician

Every month, E&A’s leadership team recognizes an employee who has been nominated by a co-worker for an action or set of actions that embodies the company’s core values.

Chris received two nominations for his extra efforts!

Over this past month or so Chris has gone the extra mile, above and beyond his work load to help train me. I had never modeled in Civil 3D before so I have needed a lot of help! With our reduced office hours and the pandemic, he has made it a priority to be in the office at the same time I am in case I have questions or need help. He has also done this with the newest member of our team.

While his team lead was out of the office and working remotely, I observed Chris going the extra mile to help his team members. He was often at their desks helping them or showing them something on his computer. When we went to reduced hours in the office, he took phone calls to help less experienced team members working from home. I heard him helping one person get set up for RemotePC so she could get in hours away from the office. I have watched Chris go out of his way for others in the past, but it was even more apparent during this time.

Chris’s actions embody our theme of “shared responsibility.” Instead of focusing only on his own work and tasks at hand, Chris was able to see the bigger picture of helping his teammates. He went beyond his own responsibilities and invested the time and effort to help them find success. Truly a team player! Thank you Chris!
